once put together, this set will meet most peoples needs for working out a few times a week, it is not Olympic, and i wouldn’t add more than 50lbs to the bench(max 150) but i have been looking for almost a year for a good weight set, searched craigslist and walmart, and never saw much of a better deal than this(on craigslist you can find sets for 75-150$, but you must deal w strangers, no delivery and no guarantee) competitor has been around for ages, and if well cared for, it will last just as long any other set under 300$ i had it put together in less than 2 hours, and the delivery person brought it into my backyard where i had a place to set it up, couldn’t have been a better transaction.,
update, had this for about a week, still satisfied, but, this may be true with all weight sets, its a good idea to tighten all screws every month or so, .
